Our athletes shine in swimming competition

March 12, 2024, was a day of triumph and celebration as our college athletes showcased their remarkable talents in the swimming competition at the CDSSA Swimming Carnival at Warringah Aquatic Centre in Frenchs Forest. Among the standout performers was Cayla Engelbrecht (Year 11 student) , who demonstrated exceptional prowess in multiple events.

Cayla’s outstanding performance saw her securing second place in the 50m breaststroke and third place in the 50m butterfly, 50m backstroke, and 100m freestyle. Her success was not only a testament to her dedication and hard work but also a source of inspiration for her peers.

Despite her initial shock at the results, Cayla has rightfully earned her place in the next stage of the competition. Her achievement reflects the values of determination and excellence that we strive to instill in our students here at the college.

Beyond Cayla’s success, we are equally proud of the representation provided by other talented students. James Hill (Year 11), Piper Hough (Year 8), and Oliver Austin (Year 8) displayed admirable sportsmanship and skill, representing the college with pride and distinction.

This remarkable display of talent highlights the diverse abilities and strengths present within our college community. From swimming champions to academic achievers in classroom and incredible performers on stage, our students continue to excel in various areas, embodying the spirit of well-rounded excellence.

As a college, we extend our heartfelt congratulations to Cayla and her fellow athletes for their outstanding performances. Their achievements not only bring glory to themselves but also serve as sources of inspiration for others.
