Reflecting on 2024’s 1st Term

‘That’s a Wrap’!

Term 1 is completed, and it is time for reflection on a busy start to 2024.  We have enjoyed a number of excursions, camps, assessments, carnivals, the prefect concert, music competitions and showcases, workshops, NAPLAN, celebrations, our annual Easter Hat Parade, along with information sessions, open days and entry auditions, parent/teacher/student conferences and more.

For Year 12, the coming break is for study, organisation and major works – mixed with a healthy dose of leisure to recharge.  This is not ‘holiday’ time.

Similarly, and contrary to common belief, this is a time for staff to plan, prepare and mark in combination with recharging for Term 2.  I would like to express my heartfelt gratitude to our dedicated staff, who generously share their knowledge and nurture our students.  They are a remarkable group of teachers, as one parent pointed out to me in a recent parent/teacher conference.

Term 2 is looking exciting with more of the above plus performances including, but not limited to:

  • Stupid Bird (May 28 – 30)
  • A Chorus Line (June 5 – 8)
  • Peach Tree Smash Cut (June 12 and 13)
  • Noises Off (June 19 – 22)

I wish all our families a happy and safe 2 weeks without rushing to meet the deadlines of school pick-ups and drop offs.

Term 2 commences on Monday, April 29 and students should be in winter uniform.
