Year 6 at the Grip Leadership Conference

On May 1st, our Year 6 students joined Mr Slattery at the Grip Leadership Conference for senior primary students. The day focused on practical leadership skills and what it means to lead in a school setting.

Students worked through topics such as:

  • What leaders should focus on in our school
  • Integrity and how it shapes everyday leadership
  • New ideas for improving school life and the challenges leaders deal with

They also spent time learning strategies they can bring back to the Junior School, including:

  • Taking ownership of their ideas
  • Influencing others in a positive way by being a person of integrity
  • Understanding integrity as telling the truth, aiming for high standards, owning mistakes, and making sure actions match words

It was a full day of learning, and our students will now look at how to apply these ideas in their roles across the school.
