Year 11 Students Participate in Annual HSC Stress Management Workshop

Today, our Year 11 students participated in the annual HSC Stress Management Workshop, presented by Roanna Chan from UTS’ The Kidman Centre.

The workshop provided students with practical tools and strategies to help them navigate the challenges that can accompany senior study. Through the session, students explored ways to better understand stress, recognise its early warning signs, and develop positive approaches to managing pressure throughout their HSC journey.

A range of topics were covered, including effective time management, study and exam preparation techniques, goal setting, managing procrastination, and building healthy daily routines. Students also learned valuable coping strategies, mindfulness techniques, and methods for challenging unhelpful thinking patterns, all designed to support both academic achievement and personal wellbeing.

As they embark on this important stage of their education, workshops such as these equip students with skills they can continue to use throughout the HSC and beyond. By fostering resilience, self-awareness, and healthy study habits, students are better positioned to manage the demands of senior school while maintaining balance and wellbeing.

We thank The Kidman Centre for their continued partnership and commitment to supporting our students. Their ongoing contribution to our wellbeing program plays an important role in helping students thrive both inside and outside the classroom.
