Farewells, Memories, and Lasting Connections

Term 3 in Boarding is always filled with emotion, as it marks both our annual Showcase and the time when we say farewell to our Year 12 boarders. Each year, we hold a special farewell dinner—a celebration separate from the whole-school graduations—so we can honour and appreciate our wonderful Year 12 boarders. These students have been a tremendous support and outstanding role models for those in the years below.

This year, our junior boarders wrote heartfelt letters to their chosen Year 12 boarder and read them aloud to everyone. The evening was filled with laughter, and at times, there wasn’t a dry eye in the house.

One of the greatest parts of boarding is making memories and forming relationships that last a lifetime. These moments of connection and celebration are what make our boarding community truly special.
