From physics to the dance floor

The Senior Contemporary Dance students have had various artists from the Sydney Dance Company teaching this semester and have continued to go to the Sydney Dance Company studios every Thursday where they join in with the Pre-Professional course. They have worked on refining their contemporary dance technique and improvisation skills.

They also had Lexy Panetta choreograph a piece called “Three body problem” which they performed for the Open Day and the Principal’s Gala at Doltone House.”

The three-body problem was initially a problem in the field of physics, where the idea is to analyse how three moving objects affect each other through their own gravity fields. Put that concept on a stage with our young performers and you have an amazing dancing spectacle.
