Principal’s Spotlight | January 2018

As we enter the new year and return from holidays I will take this opportunity to reflect our on recent school results and congratulate our Class of ’17. The cumulative HSC results achieved by our students placed the College at 55th amongst the 700 schools presenting students for the HSC, according to Better Education. The College was also ranked 28th when compared to all Independent Schools in NSW.

Being a school that focusses on the core philosophy of integrated performance and academic studies, these results again prove our status as a high achieving school in both fields and are an advocacy for performance integration having a positive impact on student learning.

The results are a credit to the hard work of the students, our committed and experienced staff, and of course, the parents who support and encourage their children through every challenge.

Congratulations to Gemma Nha our Dux of 2017 with an ATAR of 98.8. Gemma has been accepted into Medicine, Law and The Sydney Conservatorium. A mention must also be made of Alycia Trainor who, with an ATAR of 96.8, was 2nd in the State for 2 Unit Dance. A full summary of our HSC success can be read here.

We are proud of you Year 12, 2017, and we look forward to seeing our families back at the College on the 29 January.
