The McDonald College is governed by a Board of highly qualified members who give their time generously to the development and future direction of the College. The Board establishes the philosophy and controls the financial budget and other constraints placed on the Colleges and develops Strategic Plans for future growth.

Antoinette Colbran MAICD, Diploma Cert IV Human Resources Antoinette is Executive Director of Benchmark the Practice, a business providing expert witnesses for law firms Australia wide and in New Zealand for matters of personal injury, motor vehicle accident and medical negligence. Prior to starting Benchmark, Antoinette was Human Resources Director for the Radisson Hotel Group in Australia and internationally and she also worked as Legislative Assistant to the Federal Member for Mackellar, the Hon. Jim Carlton who was Minister for Health in the Fraser Government. Antoinette is a member of the Australian Institute of Company Directors. | Chair |
Maxine Kohler MEd DipTch (RAD) MACE As a Founding Director of The McDonald College, Maxine has extensive experience in business development and management, education and performing arts. Maxine was instrumental in the establishment of The McDonald College and has initiated and guided the College’s growth and diversity from inception in 1984. Richard (Rick) Watkins BBus FCA Richard is a partner at Watkins Coffey Martin, Chartered Accountants. He is a Fellow of the Institute of Chartered Accountants Australia and New Zealand, is an associate member of the Taxation Institute and is a registered company auditor and superannuation fund auditor. Richard specialises in business services to small and medium sized clients and is auditor to several national based enterprises, as well a number of not-for-profit organisations. | Treasurer |
Lauren Osbich BA (Hons)/LLB Lauren is a Listings Compliance Adviser at the Australian Stock Exchange and is an admitted solicitor with over 15 years of experience as a dedicated legal research and GRC specialist. She brings this experience, as well as experience bridging the gap between risk and compliance technology and practice to her work for The McDonald College. Lauren is passionate about giving back to the community through the not-for-profit sector as well as donating time to mentor and coach young lawyers in their professional development, with a primary focus on enabling all people in society to have the same chances at success through a quality education. | Director |
Cate Aarons Cate has led wholesale corporate transactions for more than 30 years, most recently as Head of Corporate Transactions / Strategy for ASX listed Abacus Property Group (ABP). She has a deep understanding of business strategy, regulatory requirements and financial analysis as well as strong contract negotiation skills. Cate brings a wealth of experience structuring and managing a diverse range of verticals including property, funds management, business acquisition and divestment, and equity raisings to her review of new opportunities.
