Teacher of Primary Rock Band/Primary Guitar/Peripatetic Guitar (Acoustic & Electric)

The McDonald College seeks to employ a casual teacher of Primary Rock Band, Primary (Acoustic) Guitar, and Peripatetic Guitar.

The position will incorporate all three areas identified above with the Primary Rock Band and Primary (Acoustic) Guitar areas working with our years 3 – 6 students, and the Peripatetic Guitar aspect working with our years 3 – 12 students in addition to a number of students from outside the College who learn through our extensive Peripatetic Music Program.

Experience working with Primary aged students will be considered advantageous for this role, along with the demonstrated ability to teach guitar to students from beginner to advanced level.

  • Include names and contact numbers of two professional referees who would be able to speak about your teaching experience. One of these must be a current supervisor. Referees will only be contacted for shortlisted applicants

SECONDARY MATHS TEACHER

Permanent Part-Time approx. 0.8FTE (over 5 days). Commencing 2020.

An opportunity exists for a qualified, enthusiastic and experienced Mathematics teacher to teach in our Mathematics Department. The successful applicant will be required to teach Mathematics courses in Stages 4 – 6, including Extension 1 and 2.

Applicants must possess a teaching qualification, have proven teaching experience, and experience using computer applications in teaching. An interest in performing arts would be an advantage.

Secondary Head of HSIE Department

Full-time, 2-Point Coordinator. Commencing 2020

An opportunity exists for a qualified, enthusiastic and experienced teacher to lead our HSIE Department. The HSIE Department contains the subjects Stage 6 Ancient History, Business Studies, Legal Studies, Modern History, in addition to Stage 4 and 5 History, Geography, & Commerce.
