Shepherd Centre Music Fundraiser

Our Senior Music Stream students recently had the opportunity to perform at The Shepherd Centre’s first Alumni Achiever Awards, which was held at NSW Parliament House. It is the second time that we’ve had the opportunity to work with this incredible organisation and our students loved the chance to perform at such a prestigious event.

The evening highlighted the success stories of their alumni; each graduate in the room having their own unique experience. Since 1970, the centre has assisted more than 2,500 children who are deaf or hearing impaired. The landmark organisation is recognised as a world leader in the field of early intervention Listening and Spoken Language therapy.

The winners of the evening included Olivia H (Champion of Ability Award sponsored by Cochlear, Isabel (Voice of the Future), Joel (Award for Excellence and People’s Choice), Naomi (The Dick Smith Award for Advocacy and Support) and John (Dr Bruce and Annette Shepherd Oration Award).

Highlights and inspiring moments from the event can be enjoyed on the video below. Find out more about the work of The Shepherd Centre here.
