Music Stream Album 2025
Our musicians spent a lot of time this term creating and refining some very fine performances. They took to the stage and performed a selection of all-time #1 hits—from Gangsta’s Paradise to Britney’s Spears’ Baby One More Time and more. They showcased incredible talent and showmanship, bringing the music to life!
This term also saw the release of the Song Writing Class of 2025 album.
Paul and Hollie, our Song Writing tutors and producers, have done an outstanding job of guiding the students through the song writing process to produce an album of excellent hits. Some students are at a point of self-production which shows the capacity of our tutors and students in the process of writing and producing songs to such a high standard. Congratulations to all!

Battle of The Bands
In November, a band of students competed in the “Battle of the Bands” hosted by St Joseph’s College. There were 36 bands competing from many schools, and it was a fantastic look into the future of the music industry, with some extremely talented young musicians on the rise!
The “M.C.D’s,” representing The McDonald College, did an exceptional job on the day and took 1st place in the ‘Best Cover’ category and ‘Best Ultimate Band.’ Daniel Billing (Year 12) received an award for Most Promising Guitarist.

Congratulations to the whole team on an outstanding performance and outcome!
