Sophie Lowe is a British-born Australian award-winning actress and singer-songwriter who graduated from The McDonald College in 2008.

Sophie made her screen debut as Kate in the critically acclaimed feature film Beautiful Kate, alongside Rachel Griffiths, Bryan Brown, and Ben Mendelsohn. Her hauntingly nuanced performance earned her an AFI Award for Best Lead Actress.

She also appeared in Adore featuring Naomi Watts and Robin Wright.

Other movie credits include a starring role in Blow The Man Down, which received a 98% score on Rotten Tomatoes.

Her TV credits include the lead role in Once Upon a Time in Wonderland, a main role in the award-winning series The Slap, The Returned and The Beautiful Lie – a modern adaptation of Anna Karenina, opposite Sarah Snook of Succession fame.

In 2022, she played the role of Catherine in Medieval an English-language Czech historical drama film starring opposite Ben Foster, Matthew Goode, and Michael Caine.

Her latest movie will be released later this year – a film called The Dive which follows two sisters who go diving at a beautiful, remote location. One of the sisters is struck by a rock, leaving her trapped deep in the ocean. With dangerously low levels of oxygen and cold temperatures, it is up to her sister to fight for her life.

The multi-talented Sophie is also a singer–songwriter, having released several EPs and singles. Her latest offering, From the Inside has seen her voice compared to the likes of Lana Del Ray and Kate Bush.
