Alum | Padriac Lum

Padraic Lum is an emerging Australian artist whose dedication, discipline, and artistry have shaped a remarkable early career in classical ballet. During his time at the College, Padraic (or Paddy as many called him) developed a strong foundation in classical technique, performance craft, and the work ethic that continues to define his practice.

In 2020, Padraic was accepted into The Australian Ballet School, one of the nation’s most prestigious training institutions. His years at the School were marked by rapid artistic growth, exposure to world‑class coaching, and opportunities to perform a diverse repertoire. Padraic’s commitment to refining his technique and deepening his interpretive skills positioned him as a standout young dancer with a promising future.

Padraic’s talent and perseverance have now led him to an exciting new chapter: an engagement with the Royal New Zealand Ballet (2026). Joining a renowned international company marks a significant milestone in his professional journey, and reflects both his artistic maturity and his potential for continued growth on the world stage.

With a blend of technical precision, expressive depth, and an unwavering passion for his craft, Padraic Lum represents the next generation of Australian ballet talent stepping confidently into the global arena.
