Alum | Mikayla Williams

Introducing Mikayla Williams, a distinguished alumna of 2009, currently captivating audiences as Patty Simcox in the Australian tour of Grease, the beloved musical.

Her journey into the world of performing arts commenced within our college walls. Following graduation, Mikayla pursued her passion by earning a Bachelor of Music, specializing in Musical Theatre at the Australian Institute of Music (AIM). She further honed her craft through additional training at NIDA.

Mikayla’s talent has graced various platforms. From portraying Maryssa in Dance Academy to embodying Penny Pingleton in Hairspray at the Riverside Theatre, and even stepping into the shoes of Elle Woods in Legally Blonde with the Free Rain Theatre Company, her versatility shines. Notable performances also include Ariel in The Little Mermaid at the Canberra Theatre Centre and a memorable turn as a Bathing Beauty in the premiere of Mack and Mabel at the Hayes Theatre.

In 2018, Mikayla mesmerized audiences as Glinda in Wicked and Princess Fiona in Shrek, The Musical, with Packemin Productions, earning acclaim including the prestigious Broadway World Award.

Venturing beyond the stage, Mikayla has made her mark in film, portraying roles such as Bec in Kick Ons and Brains in Jingle Man.
