Our Students’ Visit to Parliament and Government House

Leadership isn’t just about titles—it’s about learning, growing, and shaping the future. Our students, Sophie and Angus, recently had the incredible opportunity to explore Parliament House and Government House, gaining firsthand insights into leadership and governance.

Meeting Inspiring Leaders

During their visit, Sophie and Angus met Stephanie Marie Di Pasquale, Member for Drummoyne, a member of the Legislative Assembly and a temporary speaker. Stephanie shared her journey in politics, offering invaluable advice on leadership and the skills needed to serve in public office. The students asked thought-provoking questions, learning about the responsibilities of governance and how young leaders can make an impact.

Their journey didn’t stop there! They also had the honor of meeting Her Excellency the Honourable Margaret Beazley AC KC, Governor of New South Wales. She spoke about the challenges of leadership, the responsibilities of her role, and the importance of empowering young people to create positive change in society. Her words were truly inspiring, reinforcing the idea that leadership is about responsibility, resilience, and vision.

A Transformative Experience

Visiting these important institutions was more than an educational excursion—it was an opportunity to see leadership in action. Our students returned feeling empowered, motivated, and eager to take on future leadership roles, inspired by the guidance and wisdom of some of Australia’s most influential figures.

Moments like these remind us of the importance of nurturing young leaders who will shape the future. We are incredibly proud of Sophie and Angus for representing our school with enthusiasm and curiosity.
