Inspiring Curiosity Through History
We’re thrilled to welcome Emma Murray to our teaching team this term! Emma joins us as a passionate educator in History and Geography, bringing fresh energy and a deep love for storytelling, critical thinking, and connection.
Emma will be teaching History across Years 7–10, as well as Modern History for Years 11 and 12, with a touch of Geography woven in. Her approach to teaching is rooted in helping students make sense of the world around them—connecting past events to present-day realities and encouraging thoughtful reflection on identity, society, and change.
“I love History,” Emma shares, “and I love helping students find a love and excitement for it too. It’s not just about dates and facts—it’s about understanding the world we live in.”
Emma is especially looking forward to getting to know a wide range of students and working alongside our collegial staff. Her enthusiasm for collaboration and student engagement makes her a fantastic addition to our learning community.
Please join us in giving Emma a warm welcome. We can’t wait to see the curiosity and insight she’ll spark in our classrooms!
