ENCORE Nominations & HSC Milestones
This term has marked a significant milestone for our senior music students, who have now completed the practical component of their HSC Music courses. Across Music 1, Music 2, and Music Extension, we’ve witnessed an inspiring display of talent, dedication, and musical growth. From captivating solo performances to sophisticated original compositions, our students have truly risen to the occasion.
Among the highlights, we’re proud to share that James H and Leo P have been nominated for possible inclusion in ENCORE — a prestigious showcase presented by NESA that features exemplary HSC Music performances, compositions, and musicology works from across New South Wales. Their nominations reflect the high standard of artistry and commitment nurtured within our Music program.
As we move into the final stretch of the HSC journey, students are now focused on preparing for their written and aural examinations. These assessments challenge students to engage deeply with music through listening, analysis, and critical thinking. Their dedication to refining these skills and exploring a wide range of repertoire has been nothing short of impressive.
For teachers, Murray James and Jacqui Sherer, guiding these students through the HSC Music course has been a privilege. We wish all our senior musicians the very best for their upcoming examinations and look forward to seeing where their musical paths lead. Their future is bright, and their music will no doubt continue to inspire.
