Entry scholarships

Performing arts

Scholarships are offered on a discretionary basis to extraordinary performing arts applicants and are typically awarded in the format of a partial reduction on Tuition Fees (a combination of the Academic and Performing Arts fees). Awards are subject to academic testing.

All other fees and charges, such as Family Levies, Student Charges and if relevant individual Subject Levies must be paid in full. Please see the Fee Schedule for further information on all matters relating to fees and charges, discounts, and levies.

Elite sports

Any scholarships for tennis or rhythmic gymnastics applicants are at the discretion of our partners, Voyager Tennis Academy and Rhythmic Academy Sydney and are subject to academic testing.

Ann McDonald Scholarships

In honour of the founder of The Ann McDonald College of Dancing – where our story began; and the mother of Margaret Markham, our founding Principal.

Enrolled students are eligible to compete for these prestigious awards across three Year Levels: Years 3 – 5, Years 6 – 8 and Years 9 – 11 in five performing arts streams of Acting, Classical Ballet, Dance, Music, and Musical Theatre. Work ethic, behaviour and citizenship are considered.

Dux of Years 6, 8 and 10

The McDonald College Dux of Years 6, 8 and 10 are each eligible for a fixed sum academic scholarship based on overall academic results and achievements.

The College uses assessment and examination results, and other criteria as deemed appropriate from time-to-time in making its decisions regarding the awarding of Dux scholarships.
