Billy Elliot cast join The McDonald College
We are thrilled to welcome the child cast of the upcoming Billy Elliot the Musical (10th Anniversary Australian tour) to the College. All the children ranging from Years 4 to 7 are enrolled at the College for the duration of their contract with the musical, inclusive of their tour around Australia.
We also welcome Melissa Coombes who has joined our staff as our Billy Elliot teacher and will travel with the students when they tour Australia. This is the second time that we have hosted the child cast of the musical, following its Australian debut ten years ago.
Acclaimed by audiences and critics alike, the musical has now been seen by over 12 million people across five continents and is the recipient of 85 awards internationally, including 10 Tony Awards, 5 Olivier Awards and 8 Helpmann Awards.
