We have several programs and events that are open to the public – not just students of The McDonald College – that run throughout the year.
Our popular year-round After Hours program offers a range of classes for ages 3 and up in RAD Classical Ballet, Pointe Work, Contemporary, Musical Theatre, Stretching, Jazz, Tap, Hip Hop and more.
The much sought-after International Summer School is a 5½ day program for dance students ages 7 and up. ISS is held in January each year and features a guest tutor of international standing leading an acclaimed faculty of guest teachers.
Our Elite Masterclass Series is a three-day program in April aimed at the more advanced ballet student. It always features a distinguished guest teacher supported by a lauded guest faculty and sells out fast.
Premier State Ballet RE/IMAGINED is also open to the general ballet community. The program runs for 2 hours each Saturdays during school term and features emerging and established choreographers who will present thoughtful and challenging dance works with the students.
ATYP (Australian Theatre for Young People) run Saturday drama classes at the College which are open to the public. The classes are split up into age groups for children in Kindergarten through to Year 12.
