2018 High Achievements

We would like to congratulate the following students for their high achievements this year and acknowledge some individual highlights of the College.

Congratulations to the below 2018 High Achievers who scored the highest band (Band 6), which represents an HSC mark of 90-100% or E4 for extension courses.

We also acknowledge our 2018 Year 12 cohort who worked diligently throughout the year in preparation for their examinations.  We wish our graduates continued success on their journeys ahead. The Class of ’18 have been offered tertiary places at the following institutions:

SPECIAL CONGRATULATIONS

Congratulations to Kiara Whittle, 2018 College Captain, who achieved an ATAR of 97.2. Kiara will be awarded the DUX trophy at the High Achievers’ Assembly in February 2019 where all students who received Band 6 or E4 results will be acknowledged.

An incredibly dedicated student, Kiara successfully balanced her academic studies with her passion for Musical Theatre. She studied Ancient History, Biology, Drama, Advanced English and Music 1. Kiara also took the lead role of Sandy in our production of Grease (2018), whilst carrying out her duties as College Captain with excellence.

Congratulations to our Year 11 student, Zachary Austin. who sat for the HSC Entertainment Industry, scoring in the highest possible band. Zachary began studying this course in 2017, whilst he was in Year 10.

Omri Aruch sat for the HSC Music Extension 1 achieved 49/50 as well as being nominated for the HSC Music Showcase Encore.  Omri achieved a Band 6 for Music 2 when he was in Year 11 (2017).  He is an outstanding musician with a natural creativity to be applauded.

Erica Mirarchi, Jessica Vongphachan (2 nominations) and Erin McLaughlin (2 nominations) received Callback nominations for 2 Unit Dance.  Jessica is now studying at the Alvin Ailey Dance Centre in New York.

 

Another outstanding Graduate is our 2018 Vice Captain, Anthony Garcia (ATAR 87.4), who will play the role of Chino in West Side Story when it begins its national and international tour in early 2019.
