Online Learning & Latest COVID19 Response

In keeping with the advice given on Monday 23 March, 2020, by the NSW Premier The Hon Gladys Berejiklian, The McDonald College will remain open. The concept of ‘open’ means that a skeleton staff will offer supervision while students access the same online learning whether they are on-campus or at home.

Arrangements have been made to support our student’s learning in an online capacity over the coming weeks, and our staff have been trained to deliver learning in these new circumstances with minimal disruption. As of today, College families have been made aware of these new arrangements and online learning will officially commence on Thursday 26 March.

As previously advised, to support parents of essential service workers or parents who are not in a position to supervise their child at home, the College will provide limited supervision whilst the students learn online. This service will continue for as long as possible and Physical Distancing would be strictly observed.

Parents who intend to send their child to school, please let the College know by advising Sally Hill sally.hill@mcdonald.nsw.edu.au of your intention.

In the interest of the health of our visitors and prospective families, school tours will be postponed until further notice. Prospective families interested in finding out more about the College are encouraged to register for an event by visiting our website. Please note that these events are subject to change based on the current recommendations at the time.

Thank you for your understanding and support as we face these challenges together.

Sincerely,

Maxine Kohler

Principal
