Dianna Laska Moore

Dianna studied classical ballet and character dance from an early age.  After leaving the Dance Concert Company in Sydney she studied in Russia, Mexico, Poland, Hungary, and Slovakia; and then joined International Danstheater based in Amsterdam, The Netherlands.  Dianna spent 10 years in this company, attaining the rank of soloist and becoming ballet mistress.  While in The Netherlands she taught for the major dance academies where she received the highest award for teaching.

 

Living in Europe Dianna took the opportunity to work with many of the leading professional companies and during this time also completed a choreographic course in Poland, with honors. Dianna is the artistic director of World Dance Company; a part time lecturer at Queensland University of Technology, the Queensland Dance School of Excellence, Griffith University – The Conservatorium of Music and the Queensland Ballet Professional Year students.

 

For over a decade, Dianna was the Australian delegate for the Council International of Folklore Festivals (CIOFF).  Dianna has been the recipient of an Australia Council Fellowship which allowed her to further her professional development as a choreographer and teacher of world dance.
