College Facilities
The College relocated to new premises at North Strathfield in 1999. State of the art facilities include drama rooms, a “black box” theatre, nine dance studios with sprung floors, several art and design studios, including an outdoor area with two pottery kilns, music studios, a recital room, a recording studio, library, canteen with a full commercial kitchen and seating for more than 100 students, spacious classrooms and science laboratories. The buildings are all air-conditioned, and in many cases have double-glazed windows.
A “boutique” boarding residence houses up to 26 girls. There are two supervisors living on-site and a fully-qualified chef caters for all tastes. An advantage of living on the school campus is that the boarders are able to fully commit and immerse themselves in all the performances and extra curricular activities on offer.
The boarding house has wireless network access for student's personal computers to allow them access to college facilities as well as the internt.
Technology has received a major upgrade. The Junior school has a dedicated computer room and all junior classrooms have been fitted with computers. Senior students have access to computers located in the library, classrooms and our two dedicated senior school computer rooms. A majority of our classrooms have been fitted with data projectors and computers. This will enable our small classes to work productively with the new technologies available.
The College Recording Studio enables students to compose, record and edit audio and video at a professional level, using tools such as Final Cut Pro, Pro-Tools and DVD Pro Studio on Apple iMac and Mac Pro computers. Dance students use the studio to edit their dance music for eisteddfods, auditions and competitions. Each year the music department produces a CD comprising student works, which are recorded and edited with the college’s facilities.
